ATOMIC

Growing up in the 70’s, Isabel Moncada recalls sharing the general excitement people had for the upcoming future. The way it was pictured now seems almost naïve, despite the revolutionary events in this time such as the first man on the moon. This idea of a future full of new technology had an influence in several elements of the era; shapes, colors, patterns, objects, textiles and wallpaper, all represented the utopian view of the world to come.  

In ATOMIC, Isabel Moncada reviews those designs with a hint of nostalgia and goes beyond trying a retro aesthetic. ATOMIC is a contemporary vision that borrows the before mentioned elements from the 70s to create hybrids with tradicional rustic techniques.
