The moon is not round

LIMITED EDITION,  1 OF 10 PIECES

“I think that for many years, women have been perceived or conditioned to be perfect, a kind of spherical perfection, delimited by a centrifugal force, symmetrical and contained. I see the woman as an egg, it is not flattened, it transcends its poles. Like a shell with a very strong structure and points of total fragility.”

“I try to convey the sensation I get from an eggshell. I use porcelain which is a material that has very particular qualities, traditionally white, compact, fragile, hard, translucent, and resonant. I am fascinated by the egg and all its connotations, its shape, its whitish and matte texture, its thinness, its hardness and fragility, the idea of beginnings, the containment of the unborn and the ovoid shape. Even mechanically, the strength in its poles as well as the fragility of its sides”.
